Individual Attention for Classroom Success

As a teacher and parent of three children, I have experience in teaching and learning for every age group. I currently teach "at risk" students who are behind in their academic studies and this involves a lot of one-on-one tutoring to help them relearn materials they have missed. I have taught for eight years and have been in school settings with my children so am familiar with skills and academics at all levels.
I love that "a ha!" moment when a student "gets it." I am skilled at rephrasing the information and using examples to help students see the information in different ways.

Degree - Bachelor of Science - Year 1987 - Major - Psychology, Elementary Education - with a Minor in Child Development. Issued By - The College of The Ozarks - Work Study Program - Point Lookout, MO. My certification is currently expired in my Elementary Education, but I do hold certification as a Substitute Teacher in the State of MO. I homeschooled two children from preschool through 12th grade graduation and completion of high school. I have worked for two school districts for the past 6 years and currently work as a Behavior Interventionist in the Recovery Room for the Fort Osage School District. At my current job as a behavior Interventionist I often tutor small groups of children or children one on one, when they get behind in their classroom, because of behavior issues.
