I am a native Japanese. I graduated from a junior college in Japan, studied child education at a college in California and worked as a Japanese preschool teacher in California. I have 2 own children (college student and middle scholler) who are English and Japanese bilingual. I was/am teaching Japanese to them, so their Japanese are perfect in reading, writing and speaking even they were born and grew up in the US. I have a passion for education and helping others. I also love math and problem solving. I have earned my BS in Business with a major in MIS, and have completed many extra math classes. I tutored all through college when I went (at the high school and college level). I have enjoyed teaching my daughter and others her age (elementary level), and have learned a lot about learning styles. Education is extremely important to me, and I would really like to help others in this area.
The most important thing to me in teaching anyone anything is finding out what level they are currently at. In order to learn something, take something in and understand it, one must have something already to attach it to in their minds. After receiving my Bachelors degree, I moved to Japan where I taught English conversation to various age groups. I taught nearly six years in Japan. I returned to the United States to pursue my Masters degree and gained further experience teaching World History for three months. During my Graduate studies I was able to add to my skills as a teacher.
Each person has a unique way of seeing the world and their learning method is just as unique.
