I have been teaching private lessons for the past four years and am currently the baritone saxophonist for the Real Time Sax Quartet. As a graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music, I was trained to be disciplined as a music educator and as a performer. My classroom internship began freshman year and continued until my senior year when I was required to student teach general music classes.I also maintained my vocal performance level by giving recitals and continuing vocal studies even until the present time. I have been a church music director and soloist for twenty-three years and have taught general music in grades Pre-School-8 for twenty-eight years. I like to get to the point of certain problems, such as reading the child/student when I see them, ask them some questions about the subjects they need help in and why they need help. I have worked with Infants-School age for over 5 years, and enjoy being there to help someone in need. I believe in giving back, because so many of us are blessed already. As an early childhood teacher, I have had several opportunities to help children (school age), to do homework. I also was a tutor in high school to a boy for just Algebra, which then turned around to being all of his subjects and helping him keep on track. The hardest thing for me was that he had only lived in the U.S. for four years, and had trouble speaking English.
