A Little Bit About Me...

Ever since I can remember I have enjoyed helping others to learn. There is something indescribably fulfilling in imparting knowledge to others. During my time in college I earned a BS in Biology with a Biomedical focus and a minor in Chemistry. While there I worked as a tutor and laboratory teacher's assistant for General Biology, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. My knowledge in the area of Biology and especially medicine was expanded with the year and a half of medical school that I completed prior to getting married. I have an extensive vocabulary and skills communicating my thoughts, via words or writing due to my experience with research papers and tutoring, and copious amounts of personal reading.

I vary my teaching style depending on the student's particular disposition. I normally allow them to dictate the pace at which I tutor without digressing from our objective. Nonetheless, my goal is to be positive impact on the student. I love to help students get to a level they did not expect they could achieve, and in the same token, I am appreciative when I am humbled by challenging problems for which I have no solution. I have been a tutor in a GED class and also I was a Teachers Assisntant For the city school district of Albany,NY. I worked one on one and in a self contained special education class with 6th,7th and 8th grade students.
