I've never actually tutored someone, but I am very good at relating with younger kids and High Schoolers. I was in band from 8th grade to 12th grade where I participated in the Front Ensemble section with keyboards, vibraphones, marimbas, xylophones and various other instruments. I was in the Wind Ensemble which is the highest band class and my last year they introduced the Percussion ensemble where I was a soloist. I was also the section leader during my last year as well. I teach a bible study class at my church where I am not always given my lesson on time, so I usually do very well under pressure. I did very well in High School by graduating with honors. I practised law in Texas from 1966 until 2003 when I moved to Gainesville Florida with my family. I worked as a paralegal, parttime, for a lawfirm for awhile, then decided to take the Bar Exam in Florida. I took and passed the Florida Bar Exam in 2007. I became licensed as an attorney in Florida and am currently practicing law on a part-time basis. I am a real history buff, as well as politics.

All learning starts with a question, both by teacher and student alike. My role is both as teacher (coach and guide) and student (questioner). I should employ a variety of questioning techniques to better understand strengths and weaknesses, then prescribe remedies tailored for individual strengths and weaknesses, facilitating the learning process and desired outcome. Most people know intuitively how they learn, as well as which modalities work best for them.
