Learning spanish in an untraditional fun way!

I have been a spanish tutor on high School level for 2 years and I also tutored spanish for adults on and off for more than 2 years. I tutored people on different levels, also people with no experiance as well as people with a little more spanish knowledge. I studied spanish in Spain and had a great experiance with an amazing teacher. Looking forward to help people learning spanish again in a fun way like I did.

My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : I am a Reading Specialist at a local private school K-12.

I have been working as a teacher for three years now. I enjoy working in a private school setting (two years experience) because I can devote more time to lesson planning, after school, and creating individualized/small group curriculum as there are less students in the private school I teach at. Reading Comprehension is one of my top subjects! Reading Comprehension is one of my favorite subjects to teach. Since I love to read myself, it is easy for me to help my students improve their Reading Comprehension skills. What a joy!

Whenever I can, I like to be very hands-on in my teaching my students. For example, once I was teaching my class about trees. I had them go outside and collect samples of bark which had fallen on the ground. Then we created a gigantic mural in my classroom and glued the pieces of bark to a tree we had drawn.
I have been a self-employed Tutor since April, 2006. Special needs and home schooled students are welcomed. Nothing makes me happier than when I see the smiles on the faces of my students when they succeed rather than fail. I assist all students in skill building and creating a life-long love of learning. My comments on tutoring Reading Comprehension : Understanding what we read it an essential key to test taking and essay responses. Taking what we read and being able to explain it to someone else is a particular skill. I can help improve both.
