My teaching goal is to prepare students to become responsible persons, self-motivated and independent individuals able to solve actual problems and to provide leadership in the technical world. Don't know if I have a style, but I try to lead students through difficult to comprehend sections by using alternative approaches, explanations and points of view, dependent on the students background and point-of-view. My career has been in the manufacturing business, specifically metalworking machinery. Part of my duties has been the education and training of sales engineers, which, in the very sophisticated machine tool industry, required a good understanding of mechanics, electrics, electronics and the physics of forces, materials and structures. I received my Bachelors of Science in mathematics and physics from Heidelberg University in 2009, and I have tutored students consistently for the past 5 years, from 2005-2010, in calculus I and II, precalculus, elementary statistics, algebra I, general physics, general chemistry, and introductory astronomy.
