I have earned two degrees. At Georgia Southern University I recieved a B.S. in Nutrition/Food Sciences. While in Statesboro, ga completing my studies I served as an after school tutor for elementary students in the Bulluch County after school program. Since my previous experience has been working with fairly non-traditional students, I would like to find a similar position. Being a big sister has always been my favorite job; therefore, I have always sought out opportunities to mentor. I believe that each child is unique and learns at his or her own pace, and in her or his own special way. I don't believe in an unteachable student. One of the greatest pleasures I have in teaching is having a breakthrough with a student that has had difficulty. I believe every student has the possibility to meet and exceed expectations with the right teacher! I believe that not every student is the same. I have been tutoring my entire college career. All of my students received the grade that they were wanting and quite a few students even recommended me to their peers. I began tutoring one student a semester privately and was eventually recruited to tutor for a University program. While tutoring for the program I tutored 7 students one on one and ran a help room where I assisted many more.
