A Little Bit About Me...

I teach English as a Second Language in the evenings to adult immigrants in the Wichita area. This is a very rewarding experience; the students are eager to learn, and grateful for all I can share with them. My reputation as a good teacher has resulted in some individual requests for private tutoring. One family has called upon me to tutor their sons in grammar and reading comprehension, as well as to help them with various papers as they progressed through middle school, high school and college coursework. My qualifications include an M.A. degree in Education, and a B.A. degree in Psychology. Since my previous experience has been working with fairly non-traditional students, I would like to find a similar position. I have applied for several positions that have opened up in public schools and other agencies. I would like to see if I could work with younger children and adults and or with special needs students. Another area of interest would be teaching upper level mathematics and science courses in a small town school. My current job is a graduate research assistant in Wichita State University. I used to conduct research and help professors in preparing exams and teaching different courses. I have finished more than seventy hours of graduate courses which are required for PhD degree in Industrial engineering. I worked for five years in Jordan as a production and quality control engineer. As a quality control engineer with the Prince Faisal Workshops in Amman Jordan, I managed inspectors and inspection station in a versatile organization. I used to manage the Dynamometer plant for engines inspection. I worked for one year as a procurement engineer.
