During my time as a Graduate student at Louisiana State University, I have taught college freshman and have tutored high school students. After receiving my PhD, I taught Biology at Rogers State University. I am very comfortable teaching a wide array of Biology courses. I have always used student-oriented teaching methods. For example I usually give the students real -life scenarios such as case studies to reinforce the concepts they learn. After completing my undergraduate degree in English Literature at Florida State University, I worked as a substitute teacher in Hillsborough County for two years. In 2009, I completed my Master's Degree in Communication at University of South Florida while simultaneously employed at the Department of Special Education. I have been tutoring with Advanced Learners for 1 year and am currently an Adjunct Instructor of Public Speaking at HCC Dale Mabry.
Once while subbing, I entered a classroom where the students had been allowed to watch Jerry Springer on TV for the last two weeks. I couldn't let this continue, but I saw how emotional the class was about the show. I encouraged them to write their own talk show and told them we would perform it the next day. I find that connecting student's interest with the subject matter to be learned is the best way to teach.

Good High school student looking to make money,

I am a high schooler with good grades.
