I am an accomplished writer, having kept a journal for more than thirty years. I have taught creative writing in high schools and colleges, using a special system, Writing Floes, to help students melt their writing blocks away. I spent several years in Omaha teaching creative writing at the High School and College level, giving classes at Creighton University, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and Metro Tech. I am currently a candidate for an MFA (Masters in Fine Arts) at Rosemont College. I began teaching at eighteen. I’d just graduated high school and wasn’t ready for college, so I worked as a personal trainer at a gym within jogging distance of my house.
