I received a technology degree in 1975. Several years later I returned to college to persue a Physics/Mechanical Engineering Degree from SUNY New Paltz and RPI. I was an "A" student in Physics and enjoyed tutoring many classmates. I was a guest lecturer several times at RPI. Due to work and family commitments I did not complete the degree. My wife and I homeschooled our children through the primary grades. I taught sciences. While an Employee at IBM, I wrote and taight technical courses. Physics is my forte and I love talking about and teaching the subject. I am especially helpfull to students challenged by word problems. I have always had a strong passion for learning, and nothing blesses me more in a classroom than seeing a student's eyes light up when the proverbial light bulb flashes on. My goal is to encourage a student to move from drudgery to delight in the learning process, and to instill confidence in his or her ability to grasp challenging concepts. During my undergraduate studies at the Crane School of Music I had the opportunity to perform numerous solo and ensemble recitals, participate in master classes with world renowned musicians, and complete in depth studies of music from variety of styles, and cultures. Additionally, I have been trained in all areas of basic musicianship, including theory, history, ear training, and composition. My extracurricular projects include playing in bands, band managing and promoting, and studio work. For the last two years I have taught guitar lessons in various styles.
