I have seven years of teaching experience, five of those in Texas and two in South Carolina. I also have three years of substitute teaching experience. I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, and I have substitute taught all elementary grades and some middle and high school grades. I am strong in both mathematics and language arts.
I enjoy working with children and have wanted to be a teacher since I was in the fourth grade. My favorite part about teaching is when I see the "light bulb" go on in a child's mind and there is excitement about learning. I think every child can learn and that children need structure and guidance in the learning process.
