I graduated from high school as number eleven in rank out of 248. I often assisted other students in both high school and college. Later, as a homeschooling mother of four, I taught all of my children all subjects through the eighth grade level. I just returned from the island of Saipan, where I taught high school English in a private school, and seventh grade English in a public school. I presently am a certified substitute teacher in the Cumberland County, PA, public school system, where I teach almost all grade levels and subjects. I far prefer private tutoring over formal teaching, as I believe my abilities are put to their greatest use in that setting. I absolutely love working with students one-on-one. It's what I do best.

In Full Sail, I was exposed to a style of teaching not unlike an automatic car wash; a quick brush through the curriculum, and the student was expected to come out knowledgeable about the topic. Unfortunately, I found that true mastery is best produced through hands-on, individual teaching that emphasized comprehension of the material. Oftentimes, I found myself clarifying information that a fellow student had failed to grasp in the lectures. Full Sail also drove me to strive for excellence in education through its world-reknowned academic program.
