Learning is a lifelong process!

My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School. Currently, I am resigned and staying home, but looking to work part time. I have experience teaching grades 7-12 and working with all types of students. The classes I've taught range from Honors English to a class which targeted students struggling to gain proficiency in English related PSSA skills.

A Little Bit About Me...

I truly enjoy teaching. It is life-long passion. I have spent my eleven teaching years working with 9-12 grade students, and I have loved every moment. I am patient and easy going. I do not mind trying to think of many different ways to explain a topic. In my classroom, I have created an environment where all my students feel safe and are not afraid to ask questions and actively participate in the learning process. A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Geneva College, I spent time developing my skills with working with children and young adults as a soccer coach. My first experience in the educational field was working as a paraprofessional at a private school for children with autism. I continued my work in education working as a caseworker with my primary focus being truancy and juvenile probation. It also included training nursing staff. In Pennsylvania, I hold undergrad degrees which focus mainly on math, chemistry and language arts. A Little Bit About Me...

I received my BSE with a specialization in English from Millersville University in December of 2009. Shortly after, I became an extended day substitute at Boyertown High School. During this time, I assumed the role of the teacher, taking on all of her responsibilities. When she returned five weeks later, I became a daily substitute filling in where I was needed. In addition to teaching, I also work part time at local center where I tutor elementary students, and high school students. I help prepare high school students for the verbal portion of the SAT tests, and help elementary students with reading, phonics, vocabulary, and math skills.
