I also have taught english,geography,math,health,test prep,American History.I have a masters degree in education and a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts.I still have a current teaching certificate with the state of California in Art Education.k through 12
I have the ability to break things down in very simple terms and communicate very well with students. I am patient and like working with people of all ages. I particularly get along well with teens. I taught Art for grade levels from 1st through 12th grade for a private school for 3 years. Due to the economy unfortunately our school had to remove the art & p.e. program. As a Merchant Marine and Chief Steward I have taught, tutored, or mentor kids of all ages and backgrounds. My passion when teaching is to try and breakdown the subject to it's most basic level. A level that the person being taught can understand. Having work with kids from different ethnic and educational backgrounds I find this to be very affective and productive. Also, not having been a great student in high school with dyslexia, I have been able to over come these short comings and graduate from collage with honors.
