Credentialed Elementary Teacher Able to Tutor K-12

I am a credentialed elementary teacher, but have experience tutoring K-12, both in person and virtually. I began tutoring virtually starting in mid 2019 and refined my skills during the pandemic when everything became virtual. I also currently teach 3rd grade in California and participate regularly in plenty of professional development, including post graduate courses. This is my 6th year teaching in the classroom, but my umpteenth year working with children in a school setting.
I use a comprehensive homeschool curriculum with progress monitoring reports, and my lessons are interactive and designed to meet the needs of each student. Over the past 15 years I have had variety of different teaching experiences. I taught literature as a TA at UC Santa Barbara while studying for my Masters. I have tutored K-12 students in both Math and English. While studying for my undergraduate I assited in running a homeless shelter where I taught many of the children reading, writing, and math. I have a passion for teaching and am a mother myself and understand the true value of educating our youth.
It truly depends on the student and the subject. I try to adapt my teaching style to what the student needs. If one approach is not working, then we can work together to find an approach that does.
