I love piano and schoolwork

I teach on a basic level. I like to know what the student wants to get out of a session and whether the topic is interesting. I love to help a student learn to love school and music through tutoring sessions.
I have been a math, science, history, and music tutor since high school. I conduct for a church choir and have taken piano lessons for many years. I a currently taking advanced lessons with my college professor. Being a part of many organizations in high school has made college a wonderful experience thus far. I am a current Honors Student at Eastern Kentucky University, studying both Spanish and the Visual Arts. I am in my seventh year of Spanish language and cultural studies, and have had many opportunities to improve my language skills through my courses of study, translating for Spanish-speakers, and immersing myself in the Hispanic community. My comments on tutoring Writing : Same as composition.

I am a teacher that makes sure her students understand the basics, then we build on that. No one is a great writer unless he/she doesn't have an appropriate grasp of the fundamentals. It's like trying to master shooting a three point shot in basketball without knowing how to hold the ball or dribble. I have always been told by students that I am the best teacher they ever had because I don't assume they know anything. I evaluate exactly their proficiency in the subject, and tailor lessons to where they are in their understanding. Also, even though my students may be older, they still want our sessions to be fun! There's a way to make anything "fun," and I know how to do just that. A former gifted and talented instructor as well, I am very creative, so there is no "sleeping" in my sessions!
