I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Purdue University with a focus on Modern English Literature. I have also spent several years as a full-time substitute teacher for a number of Northwest Indiana city school systems including Portage, Westville, Michigan City, LaPorte, and Valparaiso. During my teaching career, several teachers were happy to request and recommend my services for long term teaching assignments, including a four month assignment to a sixth grade Language Arts class for Michigan City Public Schools. Also, my services at Valparaiso Community Schools were respected enough to earn me a spot as an in-home instructor for two students considered too ill to attend classes.

I achieved my BS in 3.5 years with certifications in Kindergarten and English for secondary education. I have employed multiple skills to teach many disciplines to students.
