I have worked part time as an adjunct instructor since the '70s, including 22 years with the Orlando Program of Florida Southern College, and 11 years with Valencia Community College. The later provided me with dozens of short courses in education. I also completed and retired from a civilian career with the US Army and Navy, starting as an intern, and reaching Senior Executive levels. Very recently I have been tutoring fifth grade and seventh grade students attending Lake Highland in Orlando. Also worked with math students working at Seminole State and Valencia.
Students learn best from doing things. I try not to lecture, but to involve the student in the learning process. I can lecture, but I haven't found it to be as effective as other methods. Over forty years of experience as an engineer and manager in the pharmaceutical and food manufacturing industries. Last position before retiring was as Engineering Manager for Kraft Foods Latin America. Academic experience includes two years as a full time instructor at the Univ. of Puerto Rico, and part time instructor at several institutions when my engineering career allowed me to. Also, for the last two years, I have been a part time instructor and math tutor at a community college in New York City.

Socratic method involvig the students in the lecture and learning process. Adult education is done mostly one on one. Even at the prison I moved about the room working with students and keeping them on task.
My BS is in education.My MS in business. Also, over 100 hours from other shchols including Algebra, trig, chemistry and physics. Ten years helping adults pass the GED in Jefferson CIty, Missouri, Also taught American history there for two summers. Some substitute teaching over a dozen years. Four years nine months experirnce teaching felons to pass the GED in a level five correctional facility, part time, after working an eight hour shift in a chemical lad.
