I work as a civil engineer and geophysicist. I have earned two bachelor degrees, BS in Physics and BS in International Business which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. In addition, I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers and laboratory reports, along with essays in many various areas of study. During my college years I was an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant serving as assistant to a class in physics courses; I have also tutored adults and teenagers in physics, mathematics, and sciences in private classes.
My style of teaching consists of two parts: first, to understand and visualize the concept and the problem; and second, doing the mechanics of problem solving. I prefer to work with the basic equations rather than memorizing the variations of the formula. I work with examples.

There are certainly different ways to inform or communicate ideas. The strategy employed in reaching a student(s) is selected on an individual basis, suited to the needs of a child. Teaching is about preparing and showing a person how to extract information and the tools to best achieve that in their own way. The rewards of teaching/tutoring is in watching the children, grow with every lesson and task completed, until they learn how to, on their own. I have found great joy in being able to offer my assistance to children, friends, family, classmates and co-workers in achieving some of their goals.
