Ryan Chesser loves music. But it wasn’t always that way. He started piano lessons in 5th grade, but didn’t fall in love with music until young adulthood. Ryan went on to further his musical education and graduated from Southeastern University with a Bachelors Degree in Church Music in 2007. I love working with children and young adults. As a Music major, I have been giving singing, piano, and theory and sight singing lessons for many years. I believe that too many students find math challenging because of the way they are taught. Too many teachers have made it not fun and frustrating and are unwilling to explain the "whys", which can make a big difference to a child. This may be due to lack of understanding on the teacher's part, but I believe strongly that a solid education, especially in all areas of math, will help with problem solving and many other "real life" situations that can arise. Because many students learn visually, I've always tried to incorporate varying levels of geometry in my lessons. I went to Florida State University for three years, have an EMS-Paramedic degree from Florida Career Institute. I graduated from high school with a 4.2 GPA.

I like to incorporate real world experience as well as hands on teaching. My style of teaching depends on the class I have. I incorporate whole group and small group using many visuals. I also do read and respond with my classroom. For my auditory learners I use cassette tapes and reread instructions and stories. These are just some of the basic things I do in my classroom.
