I am a National Board Certified teacher since 2008 in Literacy: Reading and Language Arts. I am a level III special education K-12 and regular education K-8 teacher with ESL endorsements. I have 20 years of teaching experience with Albuquerque Public Schools. I taught all levels of special education, my expertise is gifted education and students who are gifted with learning disabilities. My teaching career began as an Educational Assistant in 1977, in the state of California. Because of my daughter's medical needs, I was not able to finish my education as planned. I love the idea of being the person that has helped someone further their knowledge. I have always been a person that will take the time to teach someone something so they fully understand what they’re doing. I am patient, easy going and understand that everyone learns differently. I believe if you help the student get excited about learning, it not only makes learning easier but makes the subject more enjoyable.
