More About This Tutor...

When I first attended college I studied elementary education. I put my education on hold to stay at home and raise my children. During that time I was a compulsive volunteer with different support groups within the school system. I decided to complete my education as my children got older and received my bachelors degree and continued to take classes so that I am now able to sit for my CPA and I have also completed the necessary undergraduate requirement in order to teach business classes. I have also been a long term substitute teach in working with special education students.
Every child can learn and children learn at different levels. A teaching style must change to meet the needs of the child because what may work for one child may not work for another. I have been teaching in special education institutions for the past 13 years, working with children having physical, mental, emotional, and/or learning disabilities. My degree in music has provided me work in other areas of performing arts including dance, acting, and singing. I have also been assisting with reading and teaching math to elementary and middle school aged children.
