I like to build relationships with children. I use a great deal of humor and positive feedback. I work to build a child's self esteem and feel that is essential. I assess each student's academic level and plan accordingly. I assess each student's learning style and plan learning activities around that. I love to use creative experiences with children incorporating imagination and art! I like to make learning fun! After graduation, I taught on a transitional teaching license. I taught in the Woodburn School District. I then went to Japan and taught English as a second language. I grew up between Bolivia and the United States and speak Spanish and English fluently. I took statistics in university and taught math in Spanish from time to time as a substitute for the Woodburn School District. In Woodburn I taught a self contained classroom for a while. I had to teach ELL students Social Studies, Math, Language arts in both Spanish and English and science. As a substitute I taught all kinds of classrooms including all subject matters.
