I am a senior mathematics education major at Bradley University. I have been tutoring both high school and college students for 6 years, and have had high successes in each level of math for many different students and learning abilities. Each student has an individual learning style, and my goal is to discover that and help students learn to learn. No one has to be "a genius" to learn math, rather they must work at it.

I currently tutor at Kishwaukee College. I had volunteered to tutor students in High School, have experience assisting family members of all ages (ranging from 6 to 65), and a great deal of experience working with college students. I currently have an Associates in Science at Kishwaukee College and am currently taking Differential Equations, Physics II, Statics, and Gen Chem II. I currently work at a small manufacturing company where I purchase raw materials, formulate products, supervise the manufacturing process and check the quality of the end product. Through my studies and work I have learned to apply analytical thinking to real world problems for results. During the past decade I have tutored in mathematics, science, philosophy, photography and literature. I love helping children see the beauty in the world we live. That can be through solving a math problem that they struggled with or helping them learn from their mistakes. My goal is to help your child reach their full potential. Mathematically, I teach from a logical, or procedural approach. As students work their way up to Calculus and further, it is important to understand the process of problem-solving and not focus on the numbers alone. Many sciences can become abstract, I like to relate topics to things students may encounter everyday or already understand in order to get a foundation before complicating topics with smaller detail. I am very positive and try to push students as fast as they absorb the information. I feel it is hard to enjoy a subject if you do not understand it or see how it effects you. For this reason, I try to bring real-world uses for topics and bring these subject to life. I graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
