A Little Bit About Me...

I have an Elementary Education Degree from the College of Santa Fe. While persuing my degree I worked a an instructional assistant in an elementary school. The majority of students I worked with were special needs students. This helps me to understand that all students can learn when their needs are meet. I have been tutoring for about three years now. At first I started tutoring with Tutoring companies. Now I am tutoring students and adults in my community. I tutor in Reading and in Math.

A Little Bit About Me...

In teaching I am basically a generalist and humanist. My background is in mathematics and the sciences, but with a solid foundation in the humanities. Practically, I have never stopped learning something new and in addition to my formal credential I have done university course work in languages, forestry, animal husbandry, and sports training. I believe my teaching style is one in which I help students make associations by way of discovery and interconnections. Much of mathematics can describe the natural world and I attempt to make mathematics both interesting and fund by drawing on these associations.
