A Little Bit About Me...

I am a 20 yr. veteran public school teacher. I hold a BA degree in Education and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. I received the Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching in 1992. I have taught all grade levels including special needs and ELL students in a variety of educational settings. I am very patient and creative in my teaching. I also serve a s a mentor teacher for beginning teachers in my school district. I believe all children can learn. School is now in session. I am offering discounts for special needs children grades 3rd to 6th. I will help your child become a better student. In particular, I will prepare them for the NWEA assessment. My teaching style consists of finding that unique style that will suit each individual student. Growing up, I noticed that it was very hard for certain students to grasp certain concepts because they were not engaged in the teaching method. It is no secret that everyone learns a certain way, and no two ways are ever the same. I believe that my patience, my calm demeanor, and habit of wanting to make learning something fun rather than a job has certainly helped me in my education. I also am a big proponent of having children set goals for themselves. Setting goals makes you work harder without feeling the pressure, and I've learned that once children reach that goal they will just want to go higher.
