My comments on tutoring Elementary Social Studies : I have my bachelor's degree in childhood and special education as well as certification in early childhood education. I have my master's degree in literacy education. I am currently a reading teacher in a local school district, working with children in the elementary grades.

My teaching style is based on the gradual release theory, where instruction begins with me demonstrating a skill or strategy, followed by the student practicing the skill with my support, eventually leading to independent use of the skill by the student. My whole goal as a reading teacher is to provdide my students with skills and strategies to use when reading at an independent level.
