I like to work one on one with my students. This way, I can give each student my full attention. I like working with people of all ages, from six years old through adulthood. I love it when a person understands my explanation and is enthusiastic about having done so. I am patient and willing to go over any material many times until the student fully understands it. I have taught elementary education as a classroom teacher for over twelve years in both public and private settings. I held a valid OH teacher's certificate in 1992 but did not need it here in CO as I taught in private schools, so it has lapsed. I have maintained my own tutoring business over the last ten years and worked with students ages 5-14 (primarily 6-10) in subjects ranging from reading to math to study skills. My MEd gave me excellent awareness and insight into learning styles and child development, and the years of teaching have afforded me excellent success as an educator and classroom manager.
