A Little Bit About Me...

I am a college student at Coastal Carolina University. Willing to help anyone that needs tutoring. I am a junior studying Biological Chemistry. I am knowledgeable in many different fields besides science. Every subject I've listed I can teach to anyone willing to learn. I am a local from the area so I have a good understanding of the curriculum in the Horry county school system. I am able to teach any (k-12) material.
My teaching style is different for every person. I have to asses each individual student find out what their strong and weak points are before they can fully benefit from my tutor sessions. As a result, 74.6% of my students exceeded the state average for the 2005 SCISA assessment of State Standards; scores in Seventy-five point four percent of my students exceeded the state average for the 2005. In addition, I have also implemented various academic incentive programs for student enrichment. I excel at teaching intensive phonics and addition/subtraction/multiplication/division facts. Besides giving my students a strong foundation to build on, I also love to energize their internal motivation to succeed.
My love of kids lead me to get a Masters in Elementary Education. I taught third grade for three years and fourth grade one year in private Christian schools. I enjoyed being able to carry on the great Christian heritage of our country and our faith as Christians to the next generation.
