During my undergraduate education at the Ohio State University, I was involved in a science heavy major, Nutrition and Community Health. The core sciences were mainly in the area of chemistry and biochemistry. Though I do not have experience with tutoring or teaching for school, I have some experience with teaching and mentoring through the Army National Guard. My first job out of college was to educate children and adults in high need areas about food science and nutrition. I then worked at a few different food science jobs while taking classes part time toward a masters in education and volunteering to tutor adults.
