I have professionally tutored Math and English as an employee of Ohio University, in a private junior-high and high-school academy, and on an individual basis. I taught a semester of Elementary French at Ohio University in Athens. I am always willing to tutor any subject, but my greatest academic strength lie in language learning. I have degrees in English and English Education, which gives me a strong backround in which to tutor. I tutored undergrads at Ohio State in Freshman English and a high school student in Reading at Ohio University. I taught English as a Second Language as volunteer for two years through my Church. As a professional in the private sector, I wrote for and edited the company newsletter.
Though I am not teaching now I volunteer for Youth for Christ, teaching students in the Bible, personal ethics and making right life choices. A life goal has been to educate and enhance the lives of teenagers. I want students to move ahead, and use encouragement as a means to do this. I always try to establish a personal relationship with the student, as people do not care about what you know until they know that you care.
