A Little Bit About Me...

I believe all children can learn but they each need to learn in a way that fits them. I feel that I can provide each child with the necessary curriculum knowledge in a fun and engaging way. I believe that through discovery leaning each subject is made unique and interesting and children are more likely to walk away feeling engaged, proud of their work, and excited. I believe that each and every child can excel if they have a good educator behind them. I strive to make sure that each one of my students succeeds inside and outside of the classroom.
I have recently graduated from the University of Idaho with a degree in Elementary Education. I have had many years caring for children and have three years experience tutoring/teaching children. I firmly believe that a good education must be adaptable, flexible, and incorporate a variety of learning styles if it is to be of maximum benefit to students. When teaching, I speak with my students about the kinds of activities they feel assist them most in retaining information as well as observing their learning style independently. It took incredible persistence and commitment to completed my degree and maintain an exceptional level of performance on the job. Since then, I have raised my children and have homeschooled both of my girls for about half of their education. I am patient, persistent, and goal oriented.
