A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught in many different formats in both mathematics and physics. At Purdue University, I ran a physics laboratory class as well as did tutoring in a help center for physics. Afterwords I have also taught for ITT Tech where I taught an online physics course; IvyTech where I am currently teaching an algebra course; and the princeton review where I am teaching Physics for MCAT Students. Finally, I have done some at home tutoring for individuals in mathematics.
I enjoy the process of teaching itself. I find it a very rewarding experience to introduce others to a new and somewhat unusual way of looking at things when I teach about physics or mathematics. Having always been driven to achieve academic success, I received all A's throughout middle school and high school and was one of my high school valedvictorians. I then received full tuition to the University of Evansville and continued my academic success. My major required my to put in hours before and after the athletic teams practices and I have learned great time management skills as well as study skills. Since I was in high school I have been teaching my sisters to get their way around with Science/Math/English. I realized my understanding more towards this subjects as I went teaching Students through out my Under graduation. I got admitted in Rochester Institute of Technology, NY as masters student along with teaching assistance. I believe that good teachers must truly like their subjects and also must care about whether or not their students really understand the material. They must find ways to motivate their students to learn and cultivate an interested in the subject. Students usually come to me very anxious and nervous about their physics, chemistry and math classes and I enjoy helping them overcome their anxiety and frustration about these difficult subjects. My goal is not to give answers, but rather to provide examples and methods that students can use to think through problems on their own and gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the subject that can translate to other classes, the workplace and life!
