As an MBA graduate, I have a level of success in business and business management. I have earned a B.S. in Organizational Management with a minor in Mathematics and an M.B.A. in Organizational Leadership. Prior to moving to Oklahoma, I attended Fort Valley State University and carried double majors of Mathematics and Geology. I did not finish matriculating at Fort Valley. During my last year of college, I was employed by my university as a science/math tutor. During this year I was able to help students with their science problems of all levels. During my time in college I was involved in reading biomedical research papers.I was able to attract many students interested in the biomedical research field to learn how to read research papers. I was very proud of myself for this due to the high difficulty first year graduate students have reading these papers.
My teaching is based on lecture explanation. During teaching/tutoring I encourage my students to ask questions. At the end of the lesson I provide problems related to the related material. Assign homework for next class session.

I love teaching and am comfortable teaching students of all ages. I've learned from tutoring that each student learns in a different way. The great thing about one-on-one or small groups is that the teaching style can be adapted to what 'clicks' with the student. Some need a big-picture, overview explanation before delving into the details, others need a step-by-step methodology. I believe that every study has the potential to learn if they keep trying and don't become discouraged. Often times, discouragement is the biggest barrier in learning.
