My teaching style varies by person, because not everyone learns the same way. I adapt my teaching style to the learning style of the person.
I have been tutoring in various math, elementary, and Spanish areas for 13 years. I have tutored students from elementary school age to adults. I have also tutored students all over the US and in other coutries. I have listed all the areas that I am comfortable tutoring. I am willing to teach in a library, in the student's home, on-line, or in another area that is agreed upon by both myself and the parent. I am open to group sessions, this would require me booking a meeting room in a library, or another location. On-line is preferred if possible to reduce travel time(s), this would also allow me to assist more students in a more efficient way.

I love working with children and students of all ages. I was a volunteer at Shriners Childrens Hospital for many years in the recreational therapy department. I was a "class teacher" at a friend's daycare part time, and I held a summer job as a lifeguard and swim instructor for many years. I spent my undergraduate career preparing to enter Veterinary School. I love the sciences and I thought this was what I wanted to do. I am the kind of person who prefers to set aside that assembly instruction manual and put together that Christmas toy by laying out the pieces in an orderly fashion. There is so much pleasure in problem solving. I learn by asking myself questions. I have little patience for mundane drills and memorization if they can be avoided. Each child is different.
