My comments on tutoring Chess : I learned to play when I was 13 years old. Since then, I've been practicing to participate in tournaments representing my school, my hometown and my state by myself and by groups.

There are several ways to learn. My favorite and the one I work best is to observe. Mostly I understand the things when I see them working. When I teach, I always do an explanation first and then I put it on practice so the student can fully use this new skill.
I am from Mexico, so most of my experience in these three areas of knowledge. In my chess experience, I've been involved in this awesome game since I was 13. I've participated in many tournaments in my Hometown Matamoros. I represented several times my high school, my hometown, and once my state in a national tournament. I taught children how to play chess in my neighborhood as hobbies because all of my older brothers play chess, so I played with them during more than 3 years and many children got interested. Chess is one of my top subjects! I was the Co-National Champion 2006 in the K-12 U1200 division. Have 15 years experiece playing with prior tutoring experience.

I am a former Co-National Champion with 15 year of experience playing chess. From 2004-2006 I was an instructor for a class of 10 elementary chess students. I have taught both beginners and advanced students. I am very well versed in tournament play as well as the rules that go with it. Also, I am familiar with the notation process and the importance of it in the advancement of a players skills.
