Psychology is one of my top subjects! I have earned a BS in Human Development from Vanderbilt University and an MS in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. I am well trained and educated in all aspects and varying approaches of psychology. In addition, I my careers over the years have revolved around working with children and adolescents who have been abused and neglected, have mental health and/or behavioral issues, and have had numerous diagnoses. In working with this population, I have received ongoing training and experience in the psychological aspects of different behaviors and diagnoses.

I have worked with children and adolescents for over 30 years in various capacities and not only have a substantial amount of experience in varying types of special needs, but have very good rapport with children of all ages. I worked at Elohim Center tutoring the kids at an after school homework center in Hartsville, SC. I also worked at Hartsville School of Performing Arts for a short time period. However I provided assistance to the teachers and mentored the children that had potential, but didn't have the extra push in life to motivate them to be more. I worked at Billie Hardee Home for Boys in Darlington, SC as a volunteer I provided teen age boys the assistance in tutoring them with math, reading, and science. I have earned a BA in Criminology and an Associates in Sociology. I have always had a passion for education and learning. I have always excelled in mathematics from elementary to collegiate levels. I LOVE math. I love to do math and I love to teach math. I was even on a math competition team in middle school. I have a strong statistical background from my Psychology studies and have taught Middle Grades Math to 8th graders.
