A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching 8th grade math(pre-Algebra,Algebra,Geometry) for 10 years. I have been very successful in improving students scores. Last year my pre-algebra students made a growth of 6.55 according to Evaas score data. This was on of the highest scores achived across the state.The students worked hard under my stewardship to achieve this growth.The greater part of the credit goes to these students. I also spent time in tutoring groups; one on one with some kids who were struggling with some specific math concepts,for some of them this was the first time they avoided summer school before being promoted in their life. I have great passion in instilling intrinsic motivation to my students.

My comments on tutoring Math : I have loved math all of my life.....

I have been an educator all of my life. I was turned on to Math in the 5th Grade by a loving, caring Teacher(Ms. King). I shall never foret that day.
