I have been teaching for 25 years. Most of my teaching was in religious settings working with teens, but I have also tutored younger children with school studies in after school programs and I have taught Microsoft Office, Keyboarding and Business classes in an accredited adult learning center. I have trained teens to do on air radio announcing, creating magazine publications, web design and have taught guitar and bass. I am both an adoptive parent and have served as foster parent, both requiring tutoring my children in general school studies. I am a licensed Short Term Substitute Teacher for the state of Ohio.

To accomplish this task, I actively engage with the student by showing an interest in the student's life. Essentially, I get to know the student. I then aim to clarify the subject matter the student finds challenging. If they still find a concept confusing, I approach the topic in an alternate manner.
