My comments on tutoring Accounting : I am a CPA in the state of Ohio. I am teaching accounting at a local college. I have tutored students in accounting.

I want my students to be able to make sense out of concepts. Once they relate to the topic the fundimentals of working with the concepts is more realistic. I general guide the student to help them develope the concepts.
I stated my career as a 7th and 8th grade math teacher in Oberlin Ohio. I taught two years at Beachwood High School, teaching algebra, geometry, physics and calculus. I went back to school to receive my masters in accounting. I work for a large public accounting firm and received by CPA license. From public accounting I started my internal audit career. Many students struggle because they don't understand, since they don't understand they don't enjoy that class or that subject and therefore they don't develop the understanding required of that subject.
