A Little Bit About Me...

I was president of our NHS chapter in high school and through our NHS chapter, I was an active tutor. Through my 4 years of college and student teaching, I have worked with a variety of students from all backgrounds and ability levels. I am a licensed educator, and am currently a substitute teacher in Northwest Illinois.
I am an energetic and highly dedicated person. I am an advocate for constructivism, so I plan on creating an environment where my role is facilitating, challenging, and nurturing your student's learning. First, I would get to know the client personally (parents, siblings, friends and interests). Next, I would work with the client to identify the problem areas and create a list ranking them from major to minor. With each session, we would work through the list only advancing when the client was comfortable with the subject matter. Patience and understanding with a commitment to education is my teaching style.
I have 17 years of professional experience in the personal lines insurance industry. Through two corporate acquisitions, I have held many analytical positions in my career. I started as a Rate Analyst moving on to Actuarial Analyst, Corporate Accountant, Measures and Planning Analyst, Field Underwriting Consultant. I have an MBA from Illinois State University.
