Typing became no longer in high school, why? Kids today growing up haven't a clue to know what it feels like to have to take a typing test. The art is lost. Do big time corporatiojs even care? Maybe not, dollars and cents seem to be the rave anymore. I failed typing in high school. I will never forget my typing teacher Mrs. Stanley. She taught me alot, and more than just how to type. I eneded up taking typing during night classes, while still attending school during the day my senior year. I am so thankful I aquired and somewhat mastered the skill. Individualized learning/teaching for optimal comprehension

I started tutoring in my teens helping young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders develop English and Math skills as well as speech therapy and public speaking. I tutored my fellow students while attending Carroll Community College in English 101 and 102 as well as Creative Writing. I then moved on to being a one on one with high school students with special needs in the Baltimore area.
I take a hands on material approach to learning/teaching. I feel that young students learn best when they can physically learn, such as through blocks/puzzles/interactive learning devices and other similar approaches. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always wanted to teach. When I was a child I would round up the kids in my neighborhood and make them do lessons that I created. I do remember they did not like that. I went to college and earned a BS in Biology always knowing that I would eventually teach the sciences. I was an excellent student and have always found pride in myself on my ability to communicate with clearity. I have one year of tutoring experience at the k-12 level.
