Typing became no longer in high school, why? Kids today growing up haven't a clue to know what it feels like to have to take a typing test. The art is lost. Do big time corporatiojs even care? Maybe not, dollars and cents seem to be the rave anymore. I failed typing in high school. I will never forget my typing teacher Mrs. Stanley. She taught me alot, and more than just how to type. I eneded up taking typing during night classes, while still attending school during the day my senior year. I am so thankful I aquired and somewhat mastered the skill. I would say that my teaching style is very interactive. Anyone can give instructions but I love feedback from a one on one situation as well as a group environment. I base alot of my instruction on analogies; when a person can relate an experience or another word to a term being tought, their understanding is broadened and 99% of the time embedded in the longterm memory. That to me is not only developing the ability to draw on a built up knowledge base, but also broadens ones ability to convey what has been learned.
