Dyslexia is one of my top subjects! I was diagnosed with dyslexia as a 1st grader. I had multiple tutors to assist me in reading and writing. I believe that people with dyslexia are some of the smartest people in the world. The only thing standing in their way is a system that helps them learn and achieve success. My comments on tutoring Dyslexia : I have a dyslexic child, and have helped her quite a bit throughout her academic career

Very relaxed and encouraging. I use quite a bit of discussion, and I like to ask students questions that lead them down the path to help them discover the answers they seek. I have found that information is better retained if one can guide the student to the conclusion that they seek, building upon the knowledge that is already there. One of my favorite thing is watching stidents' faces when they have the "Aha!" Moments.
