My teaching style is highly creative to borderline eccentric! I have extensive training in the various learning styles and instinctively target the student's learning style in order to make the most progress. I am a firm believer in kinesthetic learning activities and of using a hands-on, mnemonic-driven approach to teaching. I became a teacher after 10 years in the private sector. I taught in California in the Westminster School District for 12 years (2 as a substitute/non-contract and 10 under contract). My subjects have included language arts, social science, and U.S. History. I have developed strong research and writing skills as I have continued my educational path earning a MA, working on another MA, and with my aspirations of earning my PhD in Latin American History. As a Martial Artist and former member of the Military, I am highly disciplined and driven to excellence. Resource Economics, not only went extensively through Beginning and intermediate Macro/Microeconomics, but included courses on government policies and environmental economics.
