I believe all students can learn any material, but it’s up to teachers, parents and schools to work together to come up with the best educational plan to make sure that they do. Therefore, I prefer the collaborative and community language learning model. Since all students possess many different levels of strengths and weaknesses, I demonstrate several strategies, and allow them to choose the one that works best for them. It gives me a better idea of how to teach the whole child.
Since I have completed degrees in English, and Education with a Literacy specialization, I am more than qualified to teach/tutor students in English/LA and Reading. Additionally, I've passed the Praxis II Exam that the State of Alabama requires to "highly qualify" teachers.
