Solve ALL your problems with a math tutor!

I generally work through an example while explaining. Then as the student works the problems, I instruct by asking prompting questions with decreasing frequency until the student can complete problems without any assistance.
While completing my degree, I worked in the math department as a tutor. I often had several students with various subjects simultaneously. It was a challenge to constantly switch topics, but I apparently did it so well that I almost had a regular class that showed up every time I was on duty. Several students told me that I explained things on a level they could understand as opposed to the high-level language the professor used. I have also done private tutoring since then.

My comments on tutoring Violin : I have been playing violin for over 6 years. I taught myself the violin, and able to teach others. I have completed and passed the ABRSM Grade 5 violin exam, and have also completed the equivalent for music theory. I have played in a variety of orchestras and emphasize on good technique.

I acquired my tutoring experience teaching my classmates a few lessons of math classes here and there in subjects like pre-algebra, both algebra I and II, and pre-calculus. From my tutoring classes, they have seen significant results.I have also had previous experience in teaching piano using the Suzuki program. My tutoring experience also stretches on into teaching violin, in which again the students have seen significant improvement.
I try to make the lesson fun and applicable to real life so that the student can be interested in the topic instead of just feeling like they have to memorize the information.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have had all A's through out school including college. I went to school for nursing and Algebra and anything with numbers is my specialty. I enjoy working with others an being a mentor and teaching people. I've tutored many students my age and younger and older than me and i've never had no complaints. Everyone i have helped tutor has had good grades not failed anything after working with me.
I like to ask children or students how do they like to learn? and once they tell me how they like to learn i teach them the way they like to learn so that they remember what they need to know.
