A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching experience includes high school Home Economics and Special Education, elementary third grade, middle school Language Arts, adult reading at Job Corps, preschool, Emotional Handicapped at the elementary level, and substitute teaching. I worked as an evaluator for the state educational competency exams in elementary and high school for three different states and as such graded the language arts/writing/reading sections. I have also tutored on line this past year in reading, language arts and math. I have over 40 hours of graduate work in education and am certified to teach Elementary K-8 and Science and Language Arts at the middle school/junior high level.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a 2010 graduate of IUPUI, my student teaching experience has allowed me to work with a diverse group of individuals. For my first student teaching experience, I was immersed in an English as a second language setting. At my second student teaching experience, I was involved in an inquiry based, hands-on leaning curriculum that differentiated instruction to meet the needs of every child. I have had the opportunity to work with students with different learning styles and multiple ability levels. This has allowed tremendous grouth in my ability to adapt to new situations and provide instruction that is unique and meaningful.
